At this time food and beverage producers are becoming more creative in producing food and beverages both raw and fast food. This is very profitable considering that Indonesian people tend to be consumptive. But on the other hand this can be a lesson for consumers to be more aware of the variety of foods and beverages which they consume daily. Un-infrequently food producers yet do not really understand about food safety so the quality of their products may cause a negative impact on society. In this workshop on food safety based on Kit, LSIH UB team introduced to the public how to quickly detect the content of formalin, boric and rhodamin in food ingredients. In this workshop Prof. Dr. Ir. Chanif Mahdi, MS gave a briefing about the test kit. By the existence of this test kit, people are facilitated to be able to test the food that they will consume very easily, quickly and cheaply.
